And so many many more, especially in the Sci/Fi, Romance and Classical literature genres. There are tons of Harlequins for free too, just in case you want something quick, easy and light while waiting for an appointment! LOL!

I've found a bunch of books for free - and have NOT listed the wide assortment of classics available. Sorry, didn't set this up as per Dianne's example because there are so many and I wanted to get the ball rolling.
Most of them are the first book in a series. Not all books are guaranteed to stay free for any length of time. Thorn Queen, from Dianne's list, is no longer free. The other ones she listed are still free.
If you find anymore, please list them, especially in the example Dianne gave.
If you've read any of these books, or other ones in the same series, what did you think?
Adrian, Laura - Kiss of Midnight Baker, Stephen - Manifold: Time Birmingham, John - Weapons of Choice (Axis of Time) Brooks, Terry - Magic Kingdom For Sale Child, Maureen - Baby Bonanza Daniels, B J - Crime Scene at Cardwell Ranch Fielding, Liz - The Bride's Baby Finder, Joseph - Paranoia Foster, Alan Dean - For Love of a Mother Not Goodnight, Linda - A Very Special Delivery Hart, Jillian - Homespun Bride Hauf, Michele - Kiss Me Deadly Hobb, Robin - Assassin's Apprentice Howell, Morgan - Queen of Orcs: King's Property Jackson, Brenda - Irresistible Forces Johnson, Janice Kay - Snowbound Kelly, Leslie - Slow Hands Keyes, Greg - The Briar King Kilborn, Jack - Serial Lovelace, Merline - Stranded With a Spy Miller, John Jackson - Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith #1 Miller, John Jackson - Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith #2 Moorcook, Michael - Elric: The Stealer of Souls Napier, Susan - Price of Passion Novik, Naomi - His Majesty's Dragon Patterson, James - The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride Perry, Marta - Hide in Plain Sight Pratt, T A - Blood Engines Robinson, Kim Stanley - Red Mars Rolls, Elizabeth - His Lady Mistress Smith-Ready, Jeri - The Wild's Call Stevenson, Jennifer - The Brass Bed Thayne, RaeAnne - Dancing In The Moonlight Treanor, Marie - Killing Joe Turtledove, Harry - Settling Accounts Return Engagement Warren, Linda - Once a Cowboy Warren, Nancy - Speed Dating
I've read Lara Adrian's Kiss of Midnight. The first book seems an awful lot like a take off on other well known series, but this one does develop it's own feel and I like the series.
The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning starting with Darkfever is excellent. Book 4 comes out later this month.
I didn't get very far into Michele Hauf's Kiss Me Deadly. Let's just say there are too many good books I've yet to read to spend anymore time on one that wasn't doing anything for me.
Thorn Queen by Richelle Mead might no longer be free, but this series is excellent and begins with Storm Born. It's worth paying for.

Are you asking if we've read those books in general and what we thought?
If so, I read Terry Brook's Magic Kingdom series, and I absolutely loved them. I never could get into his Shannara Series, but the Landover ones were wonderful, they were what got me into fantasy back in junior high.

Yep, that's what I was asking. Thanks for your input on the book and series.

I'm noticing there aren't nearly as many free books this week. They had TONS during Christmas. I guess that was just to get buyers in there to get those Kindles.
Amazon said digital books outsold paper books this holiday season, but they didn't say how many of those purchases were the freebies, which, since you get order numbers and all, I imagine count in those totals.

I just wonder if they are also available for the IPhone. I just downloaded a free app for the Amazon Kindle to my IPhone and there were a few free books. I will check it out and let you know, if interested.

I down loaded the app for my iPhone too. I jjust listed soe new books but did it on another thread (lord I can be so silly sometimes!)
The problem is, is that they don't always stay free for a long time. So make sure you post the freevbies when you see them!
It looks like some of the batch I found may be inspirational books but a couple sound really good!

Yeah I have downloaded a lot of inspirational books but that is okay. Some inspirational books can be just as entertaining. Already this morning I have bought 10 free books for my IPhone. Part of me wants the kindle just so that I can buy books and not loose shelf space and also some of those really huge books that I won't read because I see how big they are and that scares me from reading them.
I will be looking into getting the Kindle or possibly one of those E-Readers. I think I need to stop shopping for now and just read my books that I own... lol..

Thanks darkmatron. I downloaded Dead Witch Walking for my IPhone today. There were alot more new freebies for the Kindle. I have to remember to check for freebies every couple of days, weeks, instead of months.

I don't really get what you mean? I find the freebies online, at places like that blog I posted earlier, I've never looked directly from my Kindle.
A note: all the Lemony Snickett Books but 1, 7, and 8 are free on Kindle. I don't know why those three got skipped, but you'll save a bunch if you get the 10 that are free right now.

I usually type in free and see what pops up. Sometimes I find some and other times I find none. I haven't bought any books prior to finding the free ones.
